Saturday Niche Edit: Wallpapers That Are Worth The Work

Last week, I decorated my exceptionally hectic home office in order to hang a glorious wallpaper for a brand campaign and I cannot lie, it was hard work. Not the wallpaper hanging, I stress, but the preparation of the surrounding walls in order to make the rest of the room nice enough to put it up. Wallpaper has many benefits but one of it’s core bonuses is that you don’t get covered in paint, have to wash your hands with white spirit and RUIN your nails. Anyway, the finished result was well worth the effort and I now have a Modern Chinoiserie feature wall behind my desk which is bringing me great joy (you can see the finished result here). It has to be said that wallpaper can be fairly high price point but you don’t need loads of it to make a really significant difference if you’re planning to refresh a room. You don’t need to paper the whole room - I tied in the paper with the woodwork and a complimentary wall neutral and it all works really well. A chimney breast, alcove, windowed wall, even a piece of furniture are all perfect for trying out a pretty paper and often only need a roll. This week, I’ve pulled together some absolute beauties at varying price points that are all most definitely worth the work to add them to your home.
